Vision of Royal Rangers
Johnnie Barnes established the mission of Royal Rangers in 1962 as the challenge to Reach, Teach, and Keep boys for Jesus Christ. In more recent times, the slogan has changed, but the mission remains the same. Today, we look to Evangelize, Equip and Empower boys and men to live a life honoring to Christ. Everything we do as Rangers should fall in line with the mission that was established more than 50 years ago – every boy and man needs to know Jesus and if they already have a relationship with Jesus, we need to strengthen Christ-like character through mentorship and discipleship.
Royal Rangers uses events and activities to meet the mission of Royal Rangers – the reason we get together is to establish a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and to walk in the steps of Jesus for a life-long journey.
Who We Are - NMRR
Current records indicate there are 14 chartered outposts with about 300 active Royal Rangers in New Mexico. The time is right start a trend of increase in all areas impacted by Royal Rangers – chartering increase, boy and leader advancement increase, event participation increase as well as an increase in intentional mentorship and discipleship. As we celebrate the first 60 years of Royal Rangers in New Mexico, we must renew our efforts to progress the mission of reaching, teaching and keeping boys for Jesus Christ for the next 60 years.
...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
